About the workshop:

Discover the timeless art of pottery making in our immersive course. Hand building pottery is a traditional ceramic technique that allows you to create unique and individual pieces using simple tools, your hands, and your imagination. In this course, you will learn about the characteristics of clay and the magic of transforming a lump of clay into a thing of beauty and permanence (unless you drop it!)

Through learning the various methods of construction and decoration, you will experience how to use the tools and how to get the best results from your piece clay.

Whether you are a beginner or have some experience in pottery, this course is designed to provide you with the skills and confidence to create one-of-a-kind pottery pieces that reflect your artistic style. From functional vessels and plates, to decorative sculptures and ornaments, the possibilities are endless when it comes to the results you want to achieve.

We use earthenware clay using hand built techniques of slabs, coils and sculpting. Surface texture and decoration are covered. Slips and glazes finish the process.
