Overview:
The aim of this course is to equip you with the fundamental skills needed for making items of jewellery. Starting with the basics of saw piercing, filing, surface texturing, polishing and simple stone setting you will learn how to use tools safely and efficiently which is the key to quality workmanship. You will learn about the characteristics and tolerances of the materials used. With each session you will gain experience of using different processes and become more confident and proceed to design and make your own jewellery. These courses require time and patience and will be set over several days (please see booking information).
